NBC will broadcast one Divisional Playoff game starting this year through 2022
NBC will only broadcast 1 Wild Card game this year
ESPN will broadcast 1 Wild Card game this year (going forward it isn't set in stone may just be a one year thing)
ESPN will broadcast the Pro Bowl this year

AT&T bought DirecTV tonight (pending government approval.) With the money AT&T has behind it any chance of DirecTV losing the NFL Sunday Ticket after this year has gone away.

One reporter tonight said the only winner from AT&T buying DirecTV was the NFL and they are popping champagne bottles at NFL Headquarters tonight with this news.

Why would AT&T lose the NFL package?

It won't! That's the point. DIRECTV alone might not have been able to afford to keep it after the contract ends this season. With AT&T behind it now no way they lose it.

News just broke this morning that the entire DirecTV sale to AT&T hinges on the NFL SUNDAY TICKET. If DirecTV doesn't have it exclusively then AT&T won't buy DirecTV

Being reported this afternoon that DIRECTV is going to renew with the NFL in the near future and meet their price and the Sunday Ticket will continue on DirecTV after this season and for many years to come. That the exclusive window for negations between DirecTV and the NFL ended a little while back but nobody has seriously approached the NFL about the Sunday Ticket because they know DirecTV will step up and the NFL really doesn't want to leave DIRECTV.

DirecTV has done a great job with the Sunday Ticket and the NFL likewise with the RedZone channel, both are great products but this new channel by DIRECTV seems like overkill. Anyone with a smart phone and an app to the league they are in can get up to the minute stats, not sure anyone needs a whole channel for that on Sunday's when the games are being played. And a live studio audience to sit and watch others talk fantasy stats as the games are on-going? Who would want to go to that? Not sure this channel is gonna catch on.

Very true but this new one by DirecTV I can't see  being a success or going more than 1 year. Once the games are going on your fantasy team is locked, what purpose does this show have? I just don't see it taking off

The wish of many NFL fans is finally coming true.  Looks like DIRECTV will offer the NFL SUNDAY TICKET to non-DirecTV subscribers. You will be able to pay for the NFL Sunday Ticket and stream the games live on your gaming systems, computers, tablets, phones...etc.

Conflicting reports on whether it will start this year or in 2015. Either way it is coming.

^^DirecTV put out a release and this isn't offered to everyone I guess. Just a select few college campuses, people in NYC, SF, and Philly. And anyone who lives in an apartment building who can't get a Dish attached to their building

I checked and it's not available for me. I thought laws were passed so that people couldn't be stopped from putting a dish on their apt, condo HOA etc?

There are equal access laws.  But that doesn't mean anyone can put a dish anywhere. 

It would be illegal for an HOA to allow dishes from dish tv and not directtv, but in some historic districts ALL dishes are banned.  Likewise a landlord couldn't ban a tenant from putting a dish on their south facing balcony.  But a landlord could tell a tenant with a north facing apartment if they want a dish they will have to pay to run all the wires thru the building and with some older buildings that could cost thousands of dollars, effectively making it cost prohibitive for someone on a one year lease. 

I'm familiar with historic districts having separate rules, even concerning ADA, but I didn't realize others did too.

After some digging I found it you do not have space of your own that you are renting ... like balcony ... the landlord doesn't have to provide it. If you need access to put the dish on the roof or side of the building they don't have to let you. 

The CBS pregame show  is such a trainwreck with their new crew that after only 1 week they are already bringing Charles Barkley in to sit on the panel to give the show some life.
