I've watched every play of every 49ers game this season, just on the basic principle, and I can sey without reservation that he is one of the worst offensive tackles I've ever seen play the game. He gets beaten up, pushed around and bullied on virtually every snap. In the words of the announcer in the movie A League of Their Own...

"Take me home mama and put me to bed. I have seen enough to know that I have seen too much!"

I wonder if he's gonna go cry to his momma cause he's getting bullied in San Fran too.

SF gave up a 7th rounder for Martin...we gave up the 6th rounder for Blaine Yo-Gabba-Gabbert.

Neither draft pick is worth much, but even forking over a few pennies for a pile of shit is overpaying.

He can't play and he is soft.

I'm sure his mom or his agent will float some BS story soon to the press to try and draw attention away from his crappy play on the field.

With Ray Rice, Roger Goodell and the cover-up, Adrian Petersen.....Bullygate is long forgotten now. I thought it would take a while for that stench to go away in Miami. It went away overnight and faster than I thought. The attention is now elsewhere with far more serious scandals than a 300lb offensive linemen who had his feelings hurt via text messages.

The stink is off of Miami, for sure, but I do think that it got the ball rolling towards larger issues for the NFL.  It was just the tip of the iceberg, but it basically showed that they are creating environments for violence to thrive.  And I think that many people just turned a blind eye to it for so long and now it's in their face.  These are alpha males for the most part, trained to exert as much aggression as possible.  And there's going to be a certain percentage of people who can't turn it off after the game's over, when they go home.  I don't think the NFL is every really going to get over this.  It's the nature of the beast.

I think in the offseason Goodell will be forced to step down. He will get a huge golden parachute to leave but I think when push comes to shove he will step down.

The owners will put another puppet in his place. But I don't think he can survive this one.

Yeah, Martin was garbage and we lost a solid RG in Incognito because of him. This is not shocking.

Yeah, the Line played better with Incognito. He wasn't amazing, but considering his replacements, he was definitely missed.

I don't care that he was a dick, almost all football players are dicks. At least he didn't beat his wife or kids.

I don't know the details of the situation so I cannot make a definitive statement.

My point is, it MAY have been Incognito's actions that cost him, not Martin.

Incognito is definitely guilty of bullying, I just think that stuff happens in every lockerroom and Martin was just too weak to handle it and it got blown up.

If that's the case then it was his actions that cost him.

Just because everybody texts and drives, it does not mean that if you get caught then it's the cop who cost you your license.  It was you for deciding to text and drive.

Incognito from a few years ago was a solid LEFT guard but the guy we lost was a shadow of his former self. To say the line played better with Incognito is quite the fantasy. The line is much better now than it was at any point last season. I can't understand why anyone would think otherwise.

In the few games Richie played last year he was below average to bad

Even without the Martin incident, Incognito was still a meathead troublemaker.  It's not the kind of guy you want as an anchor of leadership.
