Title: Is Our Season Over?
Post by: EDGECRUSHER on October 05, 2015, 02:50:59 pm
I mean, I think it is, I thought it was over after we didn't stomp Washington. But, I think we can all agree that the players were not giving 100% sans a few guys like Landry and Tanny. Can the new coach and inevitably new Defensive Coordinator turn this around to save the season?

BTW, saving means 10-6 or better and playoffs. Going 8-8 or 9-7 and missing the playoffs is worse than extending Philbin.

It's over!

New coach isn't fixing this o-line. Dallas Thomas, Billy Turner, and Jamil Douglas aren't going to learn to block overnight. No magic wand to wave there.

Time to start selling off any pieces that have value. If some "contender" wants an old Cam Wake to just play on 3rd downs and rush the QB, give him away for a 6th or 7th rounder

Not over until we are mathematically out of the playoffs....

...but in all likelihood, yes it's over.

When your offensive line can't block, your season is over when the schedule is released.

Adam Beasley is reporting that players have been complaining about Suh getting preferential treatment. They were also complaining about hard Thursday practices. New coach says things are about to get real and everyone will compete for their position in practices by increasing intensity.

If nothing else I think the Dolphins will find out who wants to play football and who is a prima-donna.

The coaching staff is probably just afraid of Suh.

I don't care who coaches, as long as we stop being the softest team in the league. When we need a stop with 2 minutes left, just shut the TV off because we aren't getting it. Change that and I will be happy.

I just watched his press conference. He actually said they will need to push each other and play with intensity on Wed, Thursday, and even Fridays if need be. "We can get a lot more out of these guys" he said.  I guess the Thursday complainers will have more to complain about ... HAHAHA.

I know it's only a press conference but I like the guy.  Even if it takes 8 games to make a significant difference hopefully it translates.

Just saw this and found it promising ... or at least interesting.

"The team remains invested. NFL Media's Rand Getlin reported that "80 percent" of the Dolphins' roster stayed awake for at least half their flight home from London talking about the team's dire situation. You can't make definitive statements off a report like that, but it's fair to deduce that the players still care."

Season is probably over.  The schedule only gets harder.  And we are getting stomped by middle-of-the-road teams.

Go watch the Jets game again on NFL Replay, and watch how the entire O-line is in Tannehill's lap within 1 second of the snap.  Not a single lineman was standing his ground all day - even Pouncey.

I even saw a play where there were 2 TE's and Ju'waun James on the right end, and all three of them ran AWAY from a blitzing LB, who then had a free run at Tannehill and got the sack.  This is just ridiculous, if you really pay attention to it.

Our Season has just begun!!!  New Coach, New Energy, New Play Calling, bye week to get Albert & others Healthy, expect a couple trades.  You will not recognize the Miami team that will stomp Tennessee!!

This would be awesome, but I'm not holding my breath.

Over....

O line probably worst in NFL.

QB, on the few occasions he's had time, still misses his wideouts way too much.

Think the Defence will improve and win us a game or two, but going back to the line and QB play, when you have bad and mediocre pieces, very hard to win games, no matter who's coaching.

Unless something drastically changes, if that team that showed up the last two weeks shows up the next 12 weeks, the Dolphins won't win another game.

Hell yes this season is over!!!!

This season was done when front staff failed to adress the needs of an good solid O-line and not enough depth on defense.  The trade for Kenny Stills seems like a waste and I speak the same for Greg Jennings. Kevin Coyle still has a Job...

Look forward to the Draft....
