As a Cubs fans I feel this is my duty to do.

Arrieta is pitching in the biggest game of his life.  I wish this was a home game.

Fowler singles and tries to steal second.  It is a close play but the ball is dropped and the Cubs have a man in scoring position. 

Cubs take the lead on a single but Bryant grounds into a double play.

Rizzo reaches on an error, but LaStella strikes out and that will do it for the top of the first.

Pirates strand one, Arrieta fans two.  1-0 Cubs after one.

Three up three down for the Cubs in the second.  Cole looks like he is settling in.  Let's see if Arrieta can too.

Arrieta matches Cole with a 1 2 3 second.

Cubs need to be looking to break this thing open a close game favors the team with the stronger bullpen, in this case Pittsburgh.

Schwarber jacks a two run shot to make it 3-0!!

Not sure what Bryant was doing there on that play. 

3-0 Cubs after 2.5

Arrieta fans the side in the bottom of the third.

Cubs waste a two out single and we go to the bottom of the fourth with the Cubs up 3-0. 

Arrieta cruises through the bottom of the fourth.

He is on four days rest so it will interesting to see how long Maddon goes with him.

Fowler adds to the lead with a solo shot.  4-0 halfway through

Arrieta gets through the fifth inning still leading 4-0. 

Bastardo puts away the Cubs in the top of the sixth.

Bryant with a nice snag on that line drive there.

However Arrieta hits the next batter and Pittsburgh is in business.

Bags full now and we might see action in the bullpen soon.

Addison Russell makes the game's biggest play so far by turning a double play to silence this crowd.

Things get ugly here as Arrieta gets hit by a pitch. 

Why the Cubs think the Pirates would hit Arrieta intentionally is beyond me. 

Fowler can't drive in Arrieta and we are stretching with the Cubs winning 4-0.

Base hit to lead off the seventh for the Pirates.

Former Cub Aramis Ramirez grounds into a double play to end the seventh inning. 

Lead off walk to start the eighth.

I would try to manufacture a run here, possibly with a bunt or a steal.

Two consecutive strikeouts to Rizzo and Bryant.

We head to the bottom of the eight with the score still 4-0.

Arrieta gets a strikeout to finish the eighth.

The Cubs have one last chance to add insurance before the bottom of the ninth.

Russell gets thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double and we head to the bottom of the ninth with the score 4-0.

Arrieta finishes the Pirates off in order in the ninth and the Cubs have won  ;D
