Not that he wasn't performing at all but that he was pushing the envelope the way he normally does. I'm going to do something I hardly do. I'd still like Tannehill to have greater situational awareness (know when the other team makes an obvious encroachment penalty and take a shot downfield). And why did he (or the offensive coordinator) stop with the early-release plays? That was working brilliantly. Prevent New England from getting too much tape on it? That said, I still think that the talent I saw display in college at his tiny school is the type that can be honed by a good coaching staff into a quality NFL O-lineman. Hopefully we will see more growth from Turner as the season goes along. |
