Title: Wake OUT FOR SEASON Post by: MikeO on October 29, 2015, 11:03:57 pm Wake ruptured his Achilles tendon per Miami Herald. Season over. With his high contract and his age, he has played his last game for the Dolphins

Title: Re: Wake OUT FOR SEASON Post by: EDGECRUSHER on October 30, 2015, 06:19:09 am Makes our free agency decision much easier. Unless he takes a one year, incentive laden deal, take care Wake. Thanks for the great numbers on shitty teams.

Thanks for the great numbers on shitty teams. He's under contract for next year with a $9.8 mill cap hit. He would have to take a pay cut. And honestly, at his age and this injury, no pay cut will be big enough. He has played his last game in Miami Title: Re: Wake OUT FOR SEASON Post by: Phishfan on October 30, 2015, 10:12:39 am I will miss him but the time has come.
Title: Re: Wake OUT FOR SEASON Post by: MikeO on October 30, 2015, 10:22:10 am Big opportunity for Derrick Shelby. He and Wake have played around the same amount of snaps this season. Would be nice to see Shelby develop and take that next step. He has played well this season
Title: Re: Wake OUT FOR SEASON Post by: fyo on October 30, 2015, 10:48:28 am Wake played really before getting injured, I thought. He saw a few double teams, got some heat on Brady, and the refs probably should have thrown a couple of holding flags (nothing that would have mattered).

Title: Re: Wake OUT FOR SEASON Post by: Dolphster on October 30, 2015, 12:26:48 pm I've always been a big fan of Wake and I hate to see what was probably his last game as a Dolphin end this way. I hope he has a complete recovery and can end his career with a good year next year (either with or without the Fins).
Title: Re: Wake OUT FOR SEASON Post by: MikeO on October 30, 2015, 01:40:41 pm We should start to see Chris McCain now as well, no? He will be active for games. He has been moved to DE in the past month or so as well because he was so bad at OLB. So timing wise this works out. How much he actually plays, who knows |
