I don't really know where to start on this. In the end, I don't think it's a huge deal of money, but the teaming is paying a (partly) Brady-owned company for services other teams are paid for in sponsorship deals. Adding to the weirdness is that it appears as if much of the Patriots' staff don't want that company involved, but that Brady is the one calling the shots on it. Really weird. Next thing you know this "trainer" will be accused of giving players steroids.
