Title: Solar eclipses Post by: dolphins4life on August 20, 2017, 12:33:36 am We are going to have one on Monday. I don't know how much of it will be in my home state of MA.
I have seen lunar eclipses before, but never a solar eclipse. Have any of you seen one? Where can I buy protection? Once in my life is all the excitement I can take.

Title: Re: Solar eclipses Post by: DaLittle B on August 21, 2017, 01:07:21 pm I'm going to step out,the peak here is 1:13Pm Cent, (about an 1hour and 13 minutes)and it's supposed to be 96% total eclipse here. I'd have to drive about 90-100 miles NE to get to 100%. Tottally not worth it IMO. We might have 1 or 2 clouds possible, then rain later. :-\

Title: Re: Solar eclipses Post by: DaLittle B on August 21, 2017, 02:30:15 pm It was cool,my new neighbor,offered me some glasses at the last minute.I took a few pics through the glasses.It was Eerie,the Bugs starting making noise,it was not real dark,but standing in the sun wasn't warm,like you'd normally feel...It was cool ;D
