He's still our quarterback of the future and in all likelyhood we continue to build around him, drafting another offensive lineman in the first round and at least one wide receiver and running back in rounds 1-3.
But what if we did something more radical? How interested would Jacksonville be in the following trade? And while first round signing bonuses for top 5 picks are not what they used to be, they're still pretty hefty. Tua's signing bonus was about $20 million. That would mean the Dolphins would be taking at least a $15 million cap hit. You can't afford to be taking that kind of hit for a player not on your team. This is the hope they have been looking for, they aren't going to just trade down and hope Justin Fields is still there. It would take an insane haul to get the #1 pick, not going to be worth it for any team.
