That 2003 team was loaded with talent but trending downward. This team is trending upward and has the draft capital to bring in a boatload more of young talent.

We were almost historically bad last year, basically trading away anyone who even touched a football before. Now, we win 10 games and have tons of draft ammo.
If in 2023 we are still at 10-6, then it sucks. Right now? In a great spot for the future. Second, the 23 team was eiminated from the payoffs before the fina wee of the season. This year's team had four chances to get into the payoffs on the fina wee of the season. Third, I was feeing optimistic after 23 as the team had ony missed the payoffs two straight years after five consecutive appearances. Boy, was I wrong.
