I post these things because I'm always curious what the other side spin is. To me this reinforces every concern that conservatives have about giving away too much stiff that it unmotivates people to do anything. For the life of me I cannot understand giving out free needles and a safe place too do drugs and paying people to remain homeless. It just sees like bizarro world to me.

Bullshit.  You post stories from a far rightwing rag that has a history of fabrication and is less reliable than the national inquirer. 

I am not going to comment about reporting that is either totally fabricated or at best is ones sided and slanted leaving out relevant context. 

The problem is this is where you get your "news" from. 

It's widespread.  This is why I switched parties.

Nobody wants this.

This isn't a true story, or it's some weird fall-through-the-cracks type of thing.

Liberals aren't trying to give lazy crackheads free luxury shit.  There is a spectrum and nuance and a deeper understanding necessary.

Sometimes it's more cost effective to pay for things than to pay for the symptoms of those things -- it may be cheaper and more effective to provide free needles than to be dealing with overdose and death and crime from heroin.

It might be cheaper to provide free housing that allows people to have stability and gain employment than it is to have people shuffling around the street with nowhere to go and no prospect of rising back out of poverty.

It might be cheaper to give out free condoms or birth control pills than to deal with unwanted pregnancy and babies.

It doesn't mean I condone laziness, drug abuse, or irresponsible, unsafe sex.  It's a messy world and there are gray answers.  And within those gray answers, you have cases where there's some bullshit.


I think that you're giving too much power to incentive for people in these situations.  If you're on welfare and getting free food from vouchers or housing or whatever -- you aren't doing that because it's a good thing and because it's free.  You're not sitting home unemployed because you're lazy, in the vast, vast, vast majority of cases.  So, if you remove that assistance, it's not like people would just choose to go get a job -- they'd turn to crime and their kids would be hungry and turn to crime as well.  It's just cyclical stuff.

So, your one fake story that uses "WOKE" in the title isn't helpful and they're not trying to create a clear picture for you, they're trying to manipulate you because they think you're stupid.  Prove them wrong, delete that bookmark, get a reputable news source and move on with your life.

Get woke, go broke.  That's all there is to it.   These people made bad decisions and that's why they ended up where they are.   Giving them all this free shit rewards bad decisions.  It doesn't matter if it's cheaper.  There will be people who will take advantage of that and milk the system.  Cutting off that free supply puts a stop to it.

This literally has zero to do with wokeness.
