Title: Dolphins helmet history
Post by: Spider-Dan on June 06, 2022, 11:16:08 pm
Saw this video on reddit and thought it was interesting.

I never noticed before that on the older chicken scratch logo, sometimes the dolphin's head is completely inside the sun, and sometimes it's poking out of the top.

What would have been really cool is if rather than the M on the helmet they had a logo done recursively.

Just my two cents.

I think that's one of those ideas that play a lot better in ones mind than it does in practice.

Even by the second order, the helmet logo becomes rather smudged - despite starting with a fairly large image *and* oversizing the logo somewhat. If you look at an actual 1997 helmet, the logo is a fair bit smaller.

I like it.  Good job.
