Title: Game Balls - Ravens Post by: EDGECRUSHER on September 18, 2022, 05:00:11 pm Tua of course for the best game of his career and one of the best comebacks in team history.
Giant Honorable Mentions to Waddle, Hill and McDaniels for whatever he said to them and Tua at the half. Title: Re: Game Balls - @ Ravens Post by: Fau Teixeira on September 18, 2022, 05:42:22 pm Tua for sure, 6 TDs .. 469 yards .. yep .. tua
Title: Re: Game Balls - @ Ravens Post by: Dave Gray on September 18, 2022, 07:09:58 pm Justin Herbert, since it's all these Tua criticizers can talk about.
Title: Re: Game Balls - @ Ravens Post by: dolphins4life on September 18, 2022, 09:15:07 pm Nice double standard. If I had given a SOTG and a game ball to the same player, I would have been criticized

Title: Re: Game Balls - @ Ravens Post by: CF DolFan on September 18, 2022, 09:22:35 pm Great game by many but Tua had a career day joining only Dan Marino and Bob Greise with 6 TDs in a game. That’s elite company there.
Title: Re: Game Balls - @ Ravens Post by: Spider-Dan on September 18, 2022, 10:08:26 pm Nice double standard. If I had given a SOTG and a game ball to the same player, I would have been criticized If Tua threw a 99-yard pick-six in the 4th quarter of a tie game, every pundit in the country would have immediately declared him a failed QB and total bust.Double standards are sometimes unfair! Title: Re: Game Balls - @ Ravens Post by: fyo on September 19, 2022, 05:32:36 am Tua gets it, although I'll admit succumbing to what's technically known as an amygdala hijack after the first half, even though my frontal cortex should have (and did, but was helpless) known better. I was completely ready to declare Tua a bust. It wasn't the zip on the throws or the precision, even, it was the decisions and the way he seemed to panic. He reminded me of Pat White for a second there.
All in all a giant FU game by Tua. He and the Dolphins really needed that. I'd have to watch again to be sure (and I don't have the time for that these days), but it sure seemed like Greg Little had a great game at tackle. The pressure seemed to come mainly inside. And I have to say I loved how Tua moved around in the second half when the defenders got through. Title: Re: Game Balls - @ Ravens Post by: EDGECRUSHER on September 19, 2022, 09:39:46 am Justin Herbert, since it's all these Tua criticizers can talk about. Joe Burrow for being sacked 13 times in 2 games but still continuing to inspire us. Title: Re: Game Balls - @ Ravens Post by: CF DolFan on September 19, 2022, 10:24:11 am Joe Burrow for being sacked 13 times in 2 games but still continuing to inspire us. They upgraded their O-line and apparently it got worse. Did we send them our past descision makers? hahahaBTW ... Kudos to McDaniel and his clock management. People were freaking about him waiting to call the timeout prior to the last TD but he knew what he was doing and left just enough for the three plays. Smart guy for sure! Title: Re: Game Balls - @ Ravens Post by: Downunder Dolphan on September 25, 2022, 01:53:23 am Obviously Tua.
Honorary mentions to Hill for being Mr. Everything on offense again, and Waddle. We got a lot of attention this week from those TD's - and I reckon for the first time in a long time, we have an offense that's going to give opposition defenses nightmares. McDaniel has to get a lot of credit for that too. Also a shout out to the OL who did a great job in pass protection. I agree with the earlier comment about Greg Little - since he came on for Jackson early in the game against the Patriots, he seems to have that right side completely locked down with Hunt. |
