Title: Rupert Murdock admits Fox News anchors lied Post by: Phishfan on February 28, 2023, 02:41:58 am How are we not talking about this more? Several Fox employees have been caught discussing internally the election fraud claims are bogus and now the head of the company admitted they spread false information (I have been saying for years to stop confusing news for commentary). I know several people that claim this crap is true. You have to call out bullshit at all levels. Shame these people that knowingly spread false information.
Title: Re: Rupert Murdock admits Fox News anchors lied Post by: Spider-Dan on February 28, 2023, 03:12:21 am As I see it, one of two things is true:
1) You believe the election was stolen, and the leaked opinion of Fox News talking heads doesn't change that 2) You already knew Fox News was full of liars This news is legally relevant, but outside of that, I don't know who cares about this story. Title: Re: Rupert Murdock admits Fox News anchors lied Post by: CF DolFan on February 28, 2023, 08:33:23 am When did it become news that talking heads on these political shows lie? Surely you are not saying FOX is the only one guilty of this? BTW ... the talking shows aren't actually news shows and that's why places lke FOX, CNN, and MSNBC can basically get way with saying any opinion they want. They are nothing more than talk shows on supposed news channels.
BTW ... most conservatives have long moved past this issue while liberals still think Trump called Neo Nazis "very fine people". Hahaha Title: Re: Rupert Murdock admits Fox News anchors lied Post by: Dave Gray on February 28, 2023, 10:20:03 am What FOX was doing was unprecedented. The other stations don't do this. This isn't taking something out of context or arguing in bad faith during an editorial, which they do.
This is knowingly reporting false information on purpose from the news desk and trying to get people fired that fact check those things. To answer Spider's question, they don't care. They didn't logic themselves into these conspiracies in the first place. Any info against the conspiracy is part of the conspiracy. That's how this stuff has always worked. This isn't taking something out of context or arguing in bad faith during an editorial, which they do. I guarantee you more liberal stations kept and are still reporting Trump said Neo Nazi's are good people. That is a direct lie that has been "fact checked" by every single fact checker. Those stations make a living out of only using parts of quotes to get across blatat lies and that include FOX. It only seems different to you because of the persepctive you are starting from. Title: Re: Rupert Murdock admits Fox News anchors lied Post by: Downunder Dolphan on March 01, 2023, 05:56:38 am When did it become news that talking heads on these political shows lie? It became news when they are being sued by Dominion Voting Systems for spreading lies about them involving the election, to suit a driven agenda that goes completely against what they are supposed to be standing for. It must be hard for some of you guys in the USA to imagine, but over 50 years ago when Rupert Murdoch's only major media asset was The News (newspaper) in Adelaide, he was a genuine justice campaigner for a man wrongly convicted, with literally nothing to gain from it apart from a wrong being righted. This was long before he became a major Australian media Baron, let alone the monster he would become in the UK and eventually the USA. That was a long, long, time ago, and a very different person. The more powerful and older Murdoch has become, the more twisted and immoral he is (along with those who happily serve him). The whole notions of honesty, (real) free speech and justice have fallen by the wayside in the unquenchable thirst for even more money, even more power, and leaving some kind of twisted legacy like a dog wanting to somehow lift his leg high enough to piss on the whole world to mark it forever. It's just one more gift from my little dark corner of the world to everyone else. God bless Australia. |
