Drumettes.  Easy choice.
Wings are too much skin, and the effort-to-payoff ratio just isn't where it is with drumettes.  It's the same reason I stopped eating crab: crab meat is delicious, but I'm not getting any younger and I don't have all this time to spend hunting for meat.

Drumettes...easy.  I also prefer non-traditional wing flavors, like garlic parm, lemon grass or BBQ, rather than normal hot wing sauce.

I want all flats and I want them to be sloppy wet. Anyone sitting around me is in the splash zone. I love a good hot wing! Flats are good because you pull out one bone and then you can eat the whole thing in one bite ... ala Fred Flintstone. hahaha

have you seen the umbrella technique .. you should check it out, looks like a good party trick.

My vote is flats easy, you it's always more moist than a drumette.

There's a place within reasonable distance to me that is rated as one of the best wings in the country. I've been trying to get out there to try it. But apparently there's massive lines every day.

eh, i voted for flats but i really prefer a mix.  if i had to choose one or the other, i'd choose flats.  But they better be SAUCY.  Although, the best wings I've ever had were in Canada, Garlic Parmesan.  Dee-lightful.

Flats all day.  Better meat, easier to access.  Usually more moist.

Hahaha ... I've never seen that before but will have to try it. It's basically the same as far as eating the wing but removes the step of having to remove the bone. It looks a bit messier but I'm not scared! hahaha

I have never heard of the umbrella method, but I do a modified version of that.

You have to break the bone connection on one end of the flat.  That will allow all the edible part to be peeled back like the skin of a rabbit.  Without breaking that connection, the meat will split and you'll have to suck out meat from all the cracks.

I want a mix because I won't pay extra for all of one. I prefer the flats though. Make mine extra crispy and a bonus if you can grill them after saucing to dry them more. Put some blue cheese on the side and hold the veggies.

Did this last night Fau and it worked pretty well. I did notice that it worked better on what I consider the perfect wing. A little crispy but not dry, overcooked crispy. Obviously they had to be sloppy wet. hahaha
