Title: Game Balls - @ LAC Post by: dolphins4life on September 10, 2023, 07:40:05 pm McDaniel and Hill
Title: Game Balls - @ LAC Post by: Spider-Dan on September 10, 2023, 07:40:06 pm Tua. Who else? Straight ice in his veins for a game that he would personally be judged on, much more harshly than the rest of the team.
HM to Hill, who had a monster game. Title: Re: Game Balls - @ LAC Post by: AQNOR on September 10, 2023, 07:43:39 pm Tua or Tyreek? Both balled out. Tough call. Fuck it, I'll give them both a game ball
Title: Re: Game Balls - @ LAC Post by: fyo on September 10, 2023, 07:46:29 pm Tua, no question.
Title: Re: Game Balls - @ LAC Post by: EDGECRUSHER on September 10, 2023, 07:47:36 pm Tua, of course. HM to Hill who looks even more amazing this year than last.
Title: Re: Game Balls - @ LAC Post by: Denver2 on September 10, 2023, 08:02:25 pm Tua w/ Reek as co winner in a rare exception to the rule or Reek as HM is only way I can see it
Title: Re: Game Balls - @ LAC Post by: Sunstroke on September 10, 2023, 09:49:32 pm Pretty much unanimous on the dynamic duo in this game. Gotta love it!! Title: Re: Game Balls - @ LAC Post by: Dave Gray on September 11, 2023, 08:04:48 am Since I can only pick one, I have to say it's Hill.
Tua was great, but he did force some balls and was credited with those two turnovers. Tua was phenomenal, but Hill was just about perfect. I mean...Tyreek Hill is an alien freak. There are high expectations for him and yesterday, he surpassed those. Title: Re: Game Balls - @ LAC Post by: Phishfan on September 11, 2023, 01:08:00 pm Hill. I know I will get heat for this but had Miami lost, Tua was getting my shame for the two red zone turnovers. That's my tiebreaker here.

That's my tiebreaker here. Yes, I would give you heat for that. When a guy throws 45 times for over 450 yards, he's not the shame when the defense almost gives up 40. They went up against two studs the whole game in Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack and didn't even come close to giving up a sack. That was a badass performance if you ask me!

To my defense, we always say one play doesn't lose a game but I definitely believe two that can possibly take 14 points off the board certainly can. That's all I will say on this because it is moot with the win and I'm not going to derail. Besides I also said it was the tiebreaker for the game ball so I'm not discounting the rest of his game. Honorable mention to Hill (who would have got it just about any other day). Other honorable mentions to the offensive line who gave Tua all sorts of time to throw most of the game, and also to McDaniel - gutsy play calling (especially that 4th down) and some smart managing of players on what seemed to be a hot day so they didn't get burnt out. |
