Worst birthday ever.

My life is in shambles right now.

My apartment is not working out

My mental health is in the gutter.

Let's hope this year is a lot better.

Sorry to hear about your misfortunes.  Are you doing things to better your situation?  Do you have a mental health professional in your life?

If you want to better your mental health you will ignore all news channels and most social media. I say most because things like Tik Tok can be relaxing if you are just watching silly things.

This is good advice, but I would guess there's a decent chance that his Tiktok algorithm is feeding him "political outrage" videos.

Happy birthday though, I hope things improve for you soon.

Yeah, any algorithm-based social media is, by definition, trying to engage him.  Unless it's stuff he's choosing ike YouTube channels or something like that, I'd definitely avoid anything being fed to me.

No matter how shitty your life may seem, have a good look at those a lot less fortunate than you. Then you get a sense of how blessed your life is, no matter what problems you may be dealing with. That's hard to look at, but when you do it gives you a whole new perspective on life.

I know that. I've dealt (and still dealing with) my own cancer and my own loss.

It's hard. It sucks. But it makes you grateful for what you have.
