It looks like New York is going to elect the most radical leftist socialist out there unless Eric Adams can pull out an upset from the independents. Zohran Mamdani is anti-police, anti ICE, Anti military,  thinks everything should be free, wants to ban all firearms, is a Muslim who is very anti-Jewish, and thinks businesses should pay for everyone and anything.  People and businesses will continue to leave and everyone knows that New Yorkers love South Florida. Kind of funny how whites and Asians are who supported him the most. Latinos and blacks, many of whom have history with communist countries, overwhelmingly voted for Andrew Cuomo.

Cuomo is a sex predator who covered up thousands of deaths in nursing homes lol you can call Mamdani whatever you like but thank god he won.

If he keeps NYC rents down as promised people will stay and they won’t come and bother you in Florida.

Mamdani is most certainly left of me, but he's not the boogey man you think he is.  If you hear him talk, he's a sensible dude who is trying to solve the city's problems.  Yes, he's a Democratic Socialist, so he will maybe try and fail to carry out some of those ideas, but don't fall for the propaganda against him that he hates Jews.  He's just not a supporter of Israel in their current conflcits, but then again, neither is half the country.

I am so, so glad that Cuomo was sent packing and I hope Mamdani is a thorn in the side of these Democrats who propped up Cuomo who has no business in politics.  I'm so tired of the business as usual Dems putting in the same crooks and old people, so I hope it's a message to them that if they run creeps and crooks and pervs and liars, they're gonna get whooped from the far ends of the spectrum, so cut that shit out.

I'm somewhat surprised that Cuomo did not win, given how many voters in this country seem to love sex predators from New York.  But he'll probably run again as an independent in the general election.

I am interested to hear how Latinos and, particularly, blacks have "more history with communist countries" than Asians do.
I also seem to recall a particularly large communist former country that was made up of mostly white people; a country which, rather famously, has many emigrants to New York City.

I would have thought so before, but I don't think so now.  He called and conceded and I think that the decisiveness of his loss is sending a message to party.

Cuomo is cooked.  Even people like Ramm Emmanuel are cooked. 

He may run because egos gonna ego, but I think it will likely be Mamdani vs. Eric Adams.

Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, fresh off congratulating opponent Zohran Mamdani in New York City's mayoral primary election, is weighing his options for the November general election.

Sources tell CBS News New York's political reporter Marcia Kramer that donors have been calling the former governor, urging him to stay in the race.

"The Democratic primary is always an interesting situation, right? There are about 5 million voters in New York City, there are about 8 million people in New York City, and about 1 million people vote in the Democratic primary. So it's not, necessarily, representative of the city at large," Cuomo told Kramer in an exclusive interview the day after the election. "That's why I qualified for an independent line in November, I did that several months ago, because in the general election, more people come out to vote. It's a broader pool, if you will, of New Yorkers, more representative pool of New Yorkers."

Cuomo previously announced he would run on both the Democratic and independent tickets so he could be on the ballot for the November general election, whether he won the primary or not.

He would likely then face Queens Assemblyman Mamdani as the Democratic nominee, along with incumbent Mayor Eric Adams, who is running for reelection as an independent, and Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa.

"We're going to be looking at the numbers that come in from the primary, and then we have to look at the landscape in the general election, which is a totally different landscape," Cuomo told Kramer. "There are issues that came up -- the issue of affordability, which the assemblyman spoke to with offering a lot of free services -- and is that feasible? Is that realistic? Can that be done? So, basically, looking at the landscape in the general election, as it develops, and we'll take it one step at a time."

Cuomo already said he isn't running as an Independent ... if you believe the media. It's up to Adams to win re-election but his current odds are about 25 percent.

Just ask the Cubans in Miami why they vote red. Countries like Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Bolivia are socialist as well and their immigrants voted red last election giving Trump the highest ever Latino vote. It isn't difficult to find a latino speaking out against communism and socialism because they left it to come here.

I just don't see how Cuomo could run.

He won't get Democrats.  He won't get Republicans.  He could legitimately finish 4th.  It would embarrass him and cost a bunch of money for a lost cause.  I don't see it happening, with the current results as they were.

“My number one job will be moving people from New York to Florida. Again,” Serhant told me. “Based on the results, clients are going to hold off on making any kind of investment in New York City.”

According to a note I reviewed, one client who had made an offer on a Chelsea apartment sent her broker an email minutes after former Gov. Andrew Cuomo conceded to Mamdani. “We are going to take a break from looking until there’s more clarity on the mayoral election,” the client wrote.

I know, right?  I don't think is the own that people think.  Wealthy New Yorkers don't like a guy who wants to tax them?  Color me not giving a shit.

These guys are all going to coalesce behind Eric Adams, another known scumbag criminal, because they don't give a shit about character. 

So you are OK with South Florida getting more populated? I don't know any Floridians that want more people to come unless they are a politician.

This is not something I am concerned about.

Also, I don't think it's a thing....you're thinking that people are going to leave one specific city in the country and come to our State en masse?  That seems like bullshit to me that's not supported by anything logical.

Andrew Cuomo announced today (https://www.axios.com/2025/07/14/cuomo-new-york-mayoral-race-mamdani-adams) that he will be running in the November general election as an independent.

If Eric Adams stays in, Mamdani will win easily.
If Adams drops out, though, there is very strong potential for a Cuomo upset.

Yeah, seems like I gotta eat crow on this, for now.
