Title: Players you should hate but don't Post by: CF DolFan on July 30, 2025, 08:37:44 am It's kind of funny ... the older I get the more I can appreciate good players on other teams ... even rival teams. The latest person I should hate is Josh Allen as he basically owns us. Among other things, the guy took less money so as not to break the team and just really seems like a good guy. Yesterday he was signing a bunch of autographs after practice and then came upon a group of military people. He stopped what he was doing, took his hat off, and shook everyone of their hands and thanked them. He then went back to signing autographs. I know respect for the military might not be appreciated in here as much as my world but this was a very genuine and cool act in my opinion.
With that said .... which athletes do you appreciate that you should not like? So many great NBA players in his era went without winning a title because of him and I'll bet the fans of those teams were frustrated. But he did a lot of good things for his community in Chicago, such as accepting a Valentine card from a young girl with cerebral palsy and then giving her and her dad courtside season tickets for the rest of his Bulls career or stopping nearly every night after games to talk to a group of 11 and 12 year old boys who lived in Cabrini Green and making sure they were keeping their grades up and staying away from gangs. Or even something simple like letting the ball boys who would shag balls for him during warm-ups go one on one with him.

Title: Re: Players you should hate but don't Post by: Spider-Dan on July 30, 2025, 02:38:11 pm Colin Kaepernick.
I hate the 49ers with the heat of a thousand suns, but if I were ever forced to wear a 49er jersey, it would definitely be his. Setting aside off the field stuff: Title: Re: Players you should hate but don't Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on July 30, 2025, 04:14:32 pm Colin Kaepernick. I have a lot of respect for him and Eric Reid. Title: Re: Players you should hate but don't Post by: masterfins on July 30, 2025, 10:42:29 pm Josh Allen. He does a lot of good things for the Buffalo community. He works hard and seems to be a nice guy.
Title: Re: Players you should hate but don't Post by: Dave Gray on July 31, 2025, 10:55:46 am I kinda like Travis Kelce as well, but I don't like when he whoops our ass. He seems like kind of a silly dude and doesn't take himself too seriously.

I've liked Jason every since his first Super bowl parade. A few months ago he spent a week making some of his beer commercials right around the corner from me at the Florida Budokan. It took everything not to go over there to try and meet him. How he ended up in the woods of Lake County is beyond me. Hahaha |
