Title: Game balls @ Atlanta Post by: Denver2 on October 26, 2025, 04:10:45 pm Tua, pretty much a perfect game and a good bounce back from his lowest the week before.

HM - Tua, Waddle, Gordon, McDaniel Title: Re: Game balls @ Atlanta Post by: Dave Gray on October 26, 2025, 09:19:19 pm In an effort to be consistent, I'm going to go with McDaniel (and not Tua) this week, for the same reason that I picked him (and not Tua) last week for the Shame of the Game.
We were good in all phases and it was a complete game. Tua's individual stat-line was pretty much perfect, but it was kinda sneaky. He missed some throws similar to other weeks, but it just wasn't exploited. Also he didn't light it up yards-wise.....just good, disaster-free football. However, it didn't happen in a vacuum and the defense held their own which meant the pressure wasn't on the offense all day. Overall, good effort and something that we needed. I'll also award my game ball to McDaniel this week. Overall it was a total team effort with a much improved team defense - and especially balanced offensive play calling. We've been long overdue to commit to the run, and this week it finally happened - along with plays with both Achane and Gordon in the backfield to keep the defenses guessing. HMs to Tua, Achane, Gordon, Waddle, Brooks and Paul. Title: Re: Game balls @ Atlanta Post by: Sibster on October 27, 2025, 08:23:48 am McDaniel. He had these guys ready on the road against a Falcons team that is better than their record says.
Title: Re: Game balls @ Atlanta Post by: Dave Gray on October 27, 2025, 12:41:52 pm Am I crazy in thinking that Tua didn't REALLY play all that differently in the terrible game and the great game?
Yes, it was better, but if Tua sorta missed the same kinda throws in the same amounts but in one game, he had absolutely no help and was asked to do everything on his own. In the other game, all phases worked pretty well and he was asked to do nothing. His stat line in one game vs the other is night and day, but I don't feel like he was playing garbage in one game and lights out in the other. I think it's the job of a franchise QB, who is one of the highest paid QB's in the NFL, to be able to lift the team up when other parts of the team are playing poorly. However, Tua sunk when asked to do more, and with him that is more the rule than the exception when it comes to his play. If he's just supposed to be some QB in the 16-32 ranked then fine, but he's being paid as a top 10, if not top 5 QB. Title: Re: Game balls @ Atlanta Post by: Pappy13 on October 29, 2025, 01:39:23 pm Brooks. Run defense has been needing someone to step up and he did.
