I am a few hours ahead of you in the USA, so in the early hours of Christmas here down under, I'd like to wish you all a very happy and safe festive season and new year.

I've had a tumultuous last 12-18 months, having a massive head injury from a roof fall Anzac Day last year, then after 36 years my work closing down October last year for good and being unemployed for 12 months... training with not one genuine interview, and then suddenly finding good employment via a friend of a friend, and getting on my feet again.

I was lucky enough to have paid off my mortgage six years ago, which allowed me to get through with a roof over my head when there was bugger-all income coming in. A lot don't have that advantage to fall back on: and even with that, I still found it tough and depressing. Count your blessings every day, and help others not as fortunate... I knew that before, but even more so now.

Don't make fun of kids for believing in Santa.  I know grown adults who still believe in the Dolphins.   >:D
