Chuck Norris actually died three years ago.  But the Grim Reaper was too scared to tell him.

As much as I watch movies -- hundreds per year....I don't think I've ever seen a Chuck Norris performance -- maybe he was a cameo or something, but I can't even think of that.  I seem to know of him more as a meme than knowing anything about him as a performer.

Seriously?  You've never seen Missing in Action? Lone Wolf McQuaid?

Not even a late night Total Gym infomercial?

^ No, I haven't.  But I have a very good reason why.

Missing in Action, for example.  That came out when I was 7 years old.  So, I wasn't watching R-rated war movies at the time or probably for about the next 10 years.  Additionally, I didn't really love movies like that.  As a kid and even a teenager, I didn't really love action-fighting movies.  Even cartoons.  My friends liked GI Joe, A-Team, Bloodsport, Under Siege....that just wasn't my thing.  But on top of that, Missing in Action probably sucks.  I've never seen it, so I can't say, but it has terrible reviews....very...very...very bad.  So, it's not the kind of thing that as a budding cinephile I went back to experience, like...say...the Terminator or Rambo or whatever.

As for Total Gym infomercials...yes!  That's kind of how I know him.  I know him from memes and talk show clips and cameos and hawing products and making political speeches.  I know he was on Walker Texas Ranger, but that was old-people TV from what I recall.

I guess I can understand...sort of the same reason I've never seen The Lion King.

I'm with Dave. I won't go so far as to say I've never seen him in anything, I have but none of it is memorable. I've never understood the fascination with him.

It is a cartoon version of Hamlet.
