CBS says they will be available at 11 so it must be true! hahaha

CBS says they will be available at 11 so it must be true! hahaha Dolphins have enough holes that you should be drafting BAP and trading down for additional picks. When you have only a few holes you focus on those holes. You are not building a championship team in one draft, this draft you try to fill as many holes as possible, but don't worry about specifically which ones. If you do that this draft, you can focus on the left-over holes next draft. Title: Re: NFL Draft tonight Post by: Sunstroke on April 23, 2026, 09:06:22 pm Mauigoa is gone...bummer Title: Re: NFL Draft tonight Post by: Sunstroke on April 23, 2026, 09:07:58 pm ...and the Phins move back one spot to #12 with Dallas...not getting the details yet. Title: Re: NFL Draft tonight Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on April 23, 2026, 09:14:19 pm ...and the Phins move back one spot to #12 with Dallas...not getting the details yet. my sources say two fifth-round selections (12th, 177th and 180th overall). Title: Re: NFL Draft tonight Post by: Sunstroke on April 23, 2026, 09:19:23 pm OT Kadyn Proctor is a Dolphin... Title: Re: NFL Draft tonight Post by: Sunstroke on April 23, 2026, 09:20:42 pm Once Mauigoa went off the board, I was crosing fingers for either Proctor or OG Ioane Title: Re: NFL Draft tonight Post by: Pappy13 on April 23, 2026, 09:31:46 pm I like that the Dolphins picked up a couple of extra 5th round picks and still got a stud offensive lineman. We'll see how he turns out compared to Fano or Mauigoa, but you can't complain about moving down 1 spot to pick up 2 extra picks. They can always use those guys to move up later in the draft to go after someone.
Title: Re: NFL Draft tonight Post by: Sunstroke on April 23, 2026, 09:44:18 pm ^^ Agree completely, and any time you go OL in round one, I'm gonna be happy. Title: Re: NFL Draft tonight Post by: Sunstroke on April 23, 2026, 11:46:29 pm My 49ers traded back multiple times until they were out of round one entirely. The good news for Miami is they traded for SF's #27 pick and selected an excellent CB named Chris Johnson. Title: Re: NFL Draft tonight Post by: Pappy13 on April 24, 2026, 09:44:17 am I don't love the move up to get Johnson, but I'm fine with the pick. Saw a lot mock drafts that had a lineman and a CB or Safety as Miami's first 2 picks, so it was pretty much the consensus of what Miami should do. We'll just have to wait and see if the players produce. I'm looking forward to tonight, day 2 might actually be more meaningful for the direction of the Dolphins for the next couple years.

Title: Re: NFL Draft tonight Post by: Sunstroke on April 24, 2026, 11:48:48 am ^^^ Big is good Title: Re: NFL Draft tonight Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on April 24, 2026, 12:43:33 pm I like that the Dolphins picked up a couple of extra 5th round picks and still got a stud offensive lineman. They can always use those guys to move up later in the draft to go after someone. My thought on whether that is a good idea is purely contextual. If you have one guy who you absolutely love you should not make the trade. If you don't have a consensus pick, with half the room wanting one guy and the other half wanting the other guy, or a lot of guys saying that they like equally, then absolutely take the extra picks. Round 1, Pick No. 12: Kadyn Proctor Round 1, Pick No. 37: Chris Johnson Round 2, Pick No. 43: Round 3, Pick No. 75: Round 3, Pick No. 87: Round 3, Pick No. 94: Round 4, Pick No. 130: Round 4, Pick No. 138: Round 5, Pick No. 151: Round 5, Pick No. 177: Round 7, Pick No. 227: Round 7, Pick No. 238: Title: Re: NFL Draft tonight Post by: masterfins on April 26, 2026, 10:20:32 pm My 49ers traded back multiple times until they were out of round one entirely. The good news for Miami is they traded for SF's #27 pick and selected an excellent CB named Chris Johnson. Good for SF, bad for Miami. This trade is my only complaint about the draft; Miami didn't need to move up there were plenty of good players that Miami could have take if Johnson was gone. In the process they gave up a 3rd rounder for a much later 4th rounder, 3rd rounders are more likely to become starters vs. 4th rounders. Title: Re: NFL Draft tonight Post by: Sunstroke on April 27, 2026, 01:55:53 am ^^^ When Johnson becomes a solid starter, that minor draft capital expended will seem like a bargain... ;) |
