Post by: pondwater on June 18, 2026, 05:52:40 pm The Supreme Court ruled unanimously in favor of Ali Danial Hemani, a Texas man who successfully argued that a 1968 federal law barring drug users from possessing firearms violates the Second Amendment. This is good news. Thoughts?

I think that it might make sense to ban violent felons (either plead/found guilty or no-contest) from owning firearms. Short of that, other types of crimes don't seem to apply. Violent is the operative word. Smoking marijuana is not violent. |
