Title: HEAT trade for Giannis Post by: Dave Gray on June 24, 2026, 09:16:57 pm I am a little concerned that he's on the long-end of his career, but this is too big not to say anything. I don't feel qualified to have an opinion, but I'd like to hear yours.
Title: Re: HEAT trade for Giannis Post by: Sibster on June 25, 2026, 09:25:56 am It's not just that, but they have pretty much no backcourt. Pat Riley has always gone for the big name and this is no exception. Sometimes he wins with it and sometimes he doesn't. In this case, he's probably gonna lose big. They've got the Greek Freak and Bam but not much else.

Title: Re: HEAT trade for Giannis Post by: Sibster on June 25, 2026, 12:21:43 pm yet, they have not much else yet. And barely any cap room to acquire the yet without going into the second apron, which Heat ownership clearly forbids. No way they re-sign Powell. And if he leaves, what do you do? You had to give up one of your best shooters to get the Greek Freak.
