I'm curious what you asked AI to get this answer. Much of the answer you get from AI has to do with how you frame the question which is why AI can give false or misleading answers at times. You have to be very specific about what you are asking to get very specific answers. If you let AI try to figure out what you are asking, you'll tend to get vague or multiple responses. For example you should start out your question with a little background before the question itself for AI to understand the context of your question. I find when I do that I tend to get very good results.

For instance when I asked this question "I'm thinking of joining a website called the dolphins make me cry, what should I expect?", I got this reply.

I typed "the dolphins make me cry" into Google.  I wasn't trying to promt ai, just get the website.

Snarky and Deeply Opinionated?   Yes

While the name is satirical I don't think the site in the current form is. There were definitely aspects of it in the past though.

It used to have satirical aspects, back when we were known for the Ring of Dishonor and Goat Trailer, as they were mirrored after other traditional awards.

Long before GOAT became what it is now.

I always thought the site was satirical. It’s definitely different than most fan sites as you can see by the header images.
