I hate all the Greenday imitators, can't stand the rap/rock phenomenon (pick a genre dammit!), still dig Metallica, whom I think have earned the right to experiment a bit. Interesting you bring up offspring - Their old stuff like Smash used to be good. Even their Ixnay on the HOmbre album was OK. But, since Americana, they've gotten soft and pop-ish, I think. Some people might call it progression, others might say they sold out, but I thought they were much more unique back in the 90's with stuff like Self-Esteem, and even Ignition before that. But its tough to like them any more when all their songs all sound the same now. I also hate this "scream loud into the mic" rock crap that I keep hearing. I don't know the names of any of these bands, but just turn to the regular rock channel to find out what I'm talking about. Like "powerman 5000" or whatever - total shit fests with no talent. Nine Inch Nails sucks. Any hack can go on their computer, download a software program called Sound Forge, and make some shit up. These assholes have gotten away with it. Their new song "The hand that feeds" is quite possibly the worst song in music history. It's corny, cheesy, and "regular" in a way, and the lead singer sounds like an idiot with that synthesized voice crap. Another band that 100% sucks is Rob Zombie. Rob Zombie is a 3-day Halloween music special. The rest of the 362 days of the year, he's utterly useless. His songs OVER AND OVER AND OVER again are about the exact same thing - vampires, blood, ghouls, and everything that's only "in" from the day before Halloween, to Halloween day, and that's it. They all suck !! And you ever notice how a lot of them have the same type of name. Some word and then a number: Blink 182 Matchbox 20 L7 Maroon 5 I'm sure there are about 10 others. These guys are so lame they can't even think of an original name anymore.
