Title: Poker Night Post by: crazy_scar_man on January 18, 2006, 11:05:56 pm Who's down for getting a weekly poker game on?
How far are you willing to drive? What day of the week is best? Title: Re: Poker Night Post by: Frimp on January 19, 2006, 12:18:44 am I'd be willing. I have chips, cards, etc. BUT I live in SC.

I would love to thrash you guys.Title: Re: Poker Night Post by: jtex316 on January 19, 2006, 05:46:24 am Monday nights is great now because there's no MNF for the time being. I'd come up to Lake Worth to play.
So i'm "down" Title: Re: Poker Night Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on January 19, 2006, 05:32:26 pm Quote I'd be willing. I have chips, cards, etc. BUT I live in SC. Count me in for poker night...... but you can all but count me out for the Super Bowl. Got a domestic situation I need to deal with that day. I'll tell you more in a PM. Title: Re: Poker Night Post by: VidKid on January 20, 2006, 05:25:03 am I'm in, depending on the day, how often, etc...
Title: Re: Poker Night Post by: crazy_scar_man on January 20, 2006, 09:06:57 am Tuesday night seems like a perfect night. It should break up the week nicely.
Is Lake Worth too far to drive? I live just off 10 th ave N and the highway. Title: Re: Poker Night Post by: VidKid on January 20, 2006, 11:26:28 am Every week is what caused a burn-out the last time we had a poker night established. I would suggest no more than 2 nights a month at the most.
Also, to help everyone with driving and gas, why not rotate the venue each time. So someone else can host. Also the hosting venue could dictate house rules, game of choice etc.. It might keep it more interesting.... just an idea Title: Re: Poker Night Post by: crazy_scar_man on January 20, 2006, 12:42:20 pm Yeah, every other Tuesday is cool with me. Or to make it easier, the first and third Tuesday of a month.
The only problem with rotating venues is the poker table. To my knowledge we only have one in stock. It would suck if I'm responsible for bringing it in my truck each time. To make it better, I could provide dinner for everyone. That way free food would at least be involved. I wouldn't mind doing that. Title: Re: Poker Night Post by: jtex316 on January 20, 2006, 01:18:00 pm I don't mind driving to the same location every time, that's cool with me. Especially if you have a poker table - that's important.
Title: Re: Poker Night Post by: crazy_scar_man on January 20, 2006, 01:46:28 pm OK, Let's get a count and set some stuff in stone:
Poker Night Dates: First and Third Tuesday of every month. Next poker day is Feb 7th, (although we could convene an emergency poker night next week the 24th). Where: My house in Lake Worth. I will send a PM to all who say they are in with directions to my crib. The position of the poker table will be outside. I have no roof cover, so rain plan B is in my living room (no smoking allowed inside) Time: 7:00 p.m. sharp Food: I will provide food for everyone. Included will be: chips and dip cheese and crackers rotation of quesadillas and pizza (both veggie and meat) soda water Cost: $5 per person. The wife will be buying and making the food. If she notices that $5 is too much, we will make a free food night every so often. Please respond with 3 things: 1. a. if your in for the first and third tuesday of every month b. if your in for the emergency Poker game this coming Tuesday. 2. If your down with the $5 for food. 3. If you have any specific food / beverage requirements. Title: Re: Poker Night Post by: jtex316 on January 20, 2006, 02:08:28 pm I am down for the "emergency" poker game this tuesday - i won't be bowling on Tuesday this week.
I will be kinda sporadic, though. I can't guarantee attendance, but I will attend this upcoming Tuesday. 1. Matt 2. Joe T. |
