Cheech and Chong were out getting plastered at a neighborhood bar around the corner from Cheech's apartment. They had way too much to drink, so when it got late and the bar closed, they decided to sleep it off back at Cheech's place. When they entered the apartment, Cheech was showing Chong around. When they got to the bedroom, Chong noticed a big brass gong hanging on the wall above Cheech's bed. He said, "Hey Cheech, what's with the big gong on the wall?" Cheech replied, "This isn't a gong, it's a talking clock. Let me show you how it works." Cheech took a mallet and hit the gong very hard, causing an ear-shattering noise to echo through the room. Three seconds later, a voice on the other side of the wall screamed, "HEY ASSHOLE!!! IT'S THREE IN THE MORNING!!!!"
