Ok,we've asked many times,how did you find,or What brought you to TDMMC.

Why TDMMC? What stands out about TDMMC for you?

For me,It's my cheers.....No not because everyone knows my name,but becuse it's the place I feel most comfortable.I had my fill of a few chatrooms,I had a most un-enjoyable experience at another Dolp0hins Message board.It seemed as if,you weren't agreeing with 10-15 people,every post was,F-U,WTF,Your a idiot,Another Flame post after another flame post.It didn't seem like anyone wanted to talk football.

I mentioned in the other thread,I'm a member of many message boards,but Administrator/moderator of none.I frequent many message boards,RC,Aquarium,Photoshop,Design,Baseball,General,Porn,Celebrity porn. 99.95% of those boards,I don't know where most of the people are from,what they do,if they are male,female,posing as female,transvestities ETC. They are just names on the computer screen.

I'm a member of a few message boards where,I read them atleast once a week,for over a year,but have posted less than 50 times.Some people just aren't friendly,they wont talk to you unless you have more than 500 posts.

I remember lurking here,Someone mentioned an idea about the Dolphins,maybe outside the box.The next day I figured there was going to be 30 posts, "Are You F-n Nuts?" "you're a F-n idiot" Etc,Etc.

Nope,there were 5 posts,well,I don't think I agree with you,because....It's good idea,no one will take that deal though....

I love that there are other Dolphin fans,posting Dolphin news that has some relevance,or meat to it.There isn't a post about every scrub that gets signed or cut on the team.I love that the other Dolphin fans,bring in Dolphin news,it's not piped in from the site.

I admit,I don't just love every member on the board,but with around the NFL,ANTI fins,Other sports,and off board topic.I can find some common ground elsewhere with those members.

I love it's not just a Football message board,it's a gathering place.It's a place where I learn,and get feed back from around the country,and sometimes the world.

For me It's like Cheers,a place where we all meet to kick back,and have a good time.

I'm really glad that you feel you found a home.

I obviously can't say why I "chose" TDMMC...but I can tell why I decided to make it how it is.

First off, I want to give props to Phins.com.  Curt is a nice guy and his site has always been there, and it's been a leader for good info for years.

However, when I used to visit there, I'd get all of his great insight and new stories, and email him abot it, but I never felt like I had a voice on the chat board.  ...anytime I'd post anything, it would drop down the message board without replies, because unfortunatly most members weren't into discussion...they were into soapboxing.

Also, I didn't care for the forum setup.  ...the software itself didn't work to my liking, and all of the news was packed into one long list.

So, I set out to create a complimentary site to Phins.com.  I didn't want to compete with sites like that and Finheaven in terms of gameday matchups and commentary.  ...instead, I wanted to try to put a little different spin on it, and create a small community where everyone had a voice, even fans of other teams.  I figured if we wrote in a sarcastic tone, that we'd attract people who appreciated that humor and weren't so uptight to face the realities of their team.  I have never turned anyone away, even though I often find myself frustrated with people's views and attitudes about football and other stuff (politics, religion, whatever...)  And in doing so, I think that the community is stronger, and in turn, I am stronger, for listening to it.

In short, I never anticipated this to grow to what it has, and I am very happy with the people I've met because of it.

If it weren't for TDMMC, I'd have to start moonlighting as a standup comic, so thank you...all of you.

Im here cuz I hate the Phins.  But most of you are cool.  ;)

I finally found a place w/ grown people giving grown answers and actually discussing topics amongst each other.  Forums today are littered with children dropping F-bombs every 2 words with insults galore just to try to be funny.  Sad, that these are today's children and tomorrow's adults.  

TDMMC,  you are my current obsession.   ;)

I found a link to TDMMC on firedavewannstedt.com.  The first thing I read was the Ring of Dishonor back when it had Tom Olivadotti as its only candidate.  I then proceeded to e-mail Dave, Brian, and Jim about my choice for another candidate, and Dave and I ended up getting into an interesting discussion on whether or not the candidate I wanted in was really that bad (he's still not in BTW).  Since then, I started posting and found that the forums pretty much cover all areas of sports.  

     I found this site through the old startbriangriese.com site and I was a lurker for quite awhile, then I signed on eventually.  This is a great site for Dolphins fans to come here and talk about what they love about their team as well as vent their frustrations about it.  In San Diego there wasn't that many Dolphins fans and the place I'm living now is predominantly Bucs fans.  This is just a great place to discuss the issues about the team I love.

You all cracked me up.  You're my kind of  people (even the pains-in-the-ass).  I lurked a while, then decided, what the hell...

The other fan message boards are simply to friggin huge. They have 18 gazillion members, and if you make a post around midnight, you still have to sift through 3+ pages when you check it the next morning at 9AM just to find any replies to your post.

I like the small forum. Its more fun and more personal.
