I'm trying this new thing...  Kinda like a reverse review...

Does anyone know anything about a band called Skindred? 

I heard something from them, sounded kinda cool, alot different.

Fill me in, what's the deal?

Know some of their stuff, not too much.  I could have a proper review to you as soon as my 18 year old neph lends me his CD, as he's promised on several occasions...They seem too soft for my taste, but you never know; they could surprise.

i dont like them at all....i hear a lot of  them on faction and octane....

I just head their latest song on Octane.  I like it.  I am wondering if all their songs are like this, or if this is like a gimmick song they did...

Alternative yada yada yada. They add some carribean feel to it, but its still three days grace with a black lead singer.

I didn't know they had a black lead singer.

Is this music pleasing to listen to or do I just have bad taste?  Maybe this belongs in the guilty pleasure thread?

The link samples the first 2:00 from each song on the CD.  It starts out softly so give it a few seconds or turn up your speakers.
 

I personally listened to 5 minutes and it drove me insane, so I had to turn it off, but I can see the soothing, winding down value, or the have your girl over for dinner background music value.
