Objective:

"Come to games when Boston is in town, it's the only time we win.  Please disregard the under .500 record."

Marketing an entire spot on one team is a little lame - but seems to be Toronto's focus.  Every article published, every story all has the same theme:  Boston, Boston, Boston.  Trying to create a rivarly that can't be created, Boston already has a dancing partner in that regard.

When Matsui first joined the Yanks, his first game was against Toronto and they ran a marketing campaign for the fans to come there and boo Matsui. Then they showed a Yankees hat with bird droppings on it.

It was pretty pathetic. I think NY outscored them by like 20 runs that series. That was the year we started off 17-1 and ended with Weaver and Wells shame. Not to mention the great strategy of swinging at the first pitch from Josh Beckett even though he was on 3 days rest. 81 pitch complete games make me angry, especially those that lose a World Series.
