(Red Sox veterans watched as some of the team's rookies ran in their underwear during morning workouts)

Just messing with ya Maine.  Yes, I think this is the year for the Sox!(and the Boston Mafia yahoo team) I like what I see on paper. Can't wait for the season to start.

yes this is the year for the white sox. just like last year

you red sox fans think every year is your year. The Yankees are too powerful, Toronto has improved  and the white sox are still the team to beat and will most likely go all the way. again

I miss football already.  Oh well, I know I'll be at some Spring Training games this season.  Go Marlins and Go Cleveland!  Oh and of course a little shout out to the boys from the 619.  Should be another fun year at Petco.

I've never encountered a smart Blue Jays fan.  EvAH.  Not one.

The Yankees are too powerful

Powerful?  Sure.  Starting pitching?  We'll see.

Toronto has improved

Please see my comment about the lack of smart Toronto fans.  Thanks.

the white sox are still the team to beat and will most likely go all the way. again

This comment is almost as ignorant as "Toronto will win the World Series."  Not quite, but almost.  White Sox = fluke.  I wouldn't expect much more out of someone that has been watching baseball for about two years.

Ted Lilly sucks.

THE ACUTAL "TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME" SONG WRITTEN IN 1904

Nelly Kelly loved baseball games
Knew all the players and knew all their names
She could be seen at every game
To shout "Horray" whenever they played
Her boyfriend, dear sweet Joe.
Said, "To Coney Island, honey, let's go"
Nelly Kelly began to cry and pout
Then she stood up and began to shout

Take me out to the ballgame
Take me out to the crowd
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack
I don't care if I ever get back
So lets root, root root for the home team
If they don't win, it's a shame
For it's one, two, three strikes you're out
At the ol' ballgame

Hey Maine, Pats, your photos are great. I prefer these, however. (Photos courtesy of Newsday.com)

How sweet it is!

I prefer the one of Randy Johnson hitting Damon in BATTING PRACTICE.

Yep, that's team chemistry for you!  Two real Yankees going at it.
:)

It took Randy a whole year to hit a Red Sox player in retaliation.

A couple minutes later he brushed Jeter off the plate which brought the entire bench out yelling at him.
 :)

THAT is amusing as hell.  Good to see the same 'ol Randy that was hated in his own club house in Seattle, Houston and Arizona!

Hopefully the Big Unit will have the same impact when the season begins.  GO YANKEES!!!!!

Good pitchers are usually pricks, Curt Schilling and to a lesser extent Roger Clemens are prime examples. I am sure the Yankee bench didn't riot over Randy throwing inside. In fact, they are probably happy that he is because SOMEONE on this faggot-ass pitching staff has to defend their teammates when they get thrown at. It was shameful to watch last year as game after game Giambi and Jeter got plunked and the Yankee staff wouldn't even throw inside.

Now we have Farnsworth and hopefully he will take a couple of heads off before he implodes in the playoffs.

Cardinal rule - you don't brush back your own players during BP.  The players weren't excited about watching a guy they already don't like throwing at their captain's head.  As much of a head hunter as Clemens is, you never saw him do that.  Ever.  And Schilling might be a prick and "red light Curt" but, unlike Johnson and Clemens, has never been known as a head hunter.

Schill's hit 47 batters in his career versus 168 for Randy Johnson - they both came into the league in 1988.  Completely different styles although they are both power pitchers.

End result doesn't matter, it's not like Unit will pitch badly because his team doesn't like him.  But he's already polarized some of the most popular guys in the club house.  Could not work with Posada last year, got into a yelling match with Sheffield, hits the prize FA score in Damon and then gives Jeter some chin music.

There are better ways to show your team that you have their back.

For all the run Schilling gets as a jerk, Randy is a flat out idiot.
