Title: Movie Review: The Constant Gardner Post by: GUATARICCAN on March 02, 2006, 05:41:41 pm Premise: When the wife of a British High Commission member stationed in Kenya is murdered, he sets off to investigate her murder. As he starts his investigation, he learns that there was more behind his wife's murder than first appeared and soon finds out that her murder was part of a larger conspiracy involving a corrupt pharmecutical CEO and a government cover up.
Rating: Decent I had a hard time staying interested in this movie, and I'll watch anything! It was a well paced movie and the actors gave great performances, but from all the hype I heard about this film I thought it would be more entertaining or at least exciting. Overrated. Another note is that this was directed by the director of City of God, which was by far a superior film. Title: Re: Movie Review: The Constant Gardner Post by: NYFan204 on March 02, 2006, 07:52:54 pm This was a really cool movie when you sit back and realize all the damned levels involved in it. Was she cheating, or was she faithful? How far will a government get in bed with a private corporation? How much is one life worth. Couple this movie with the arms movie starring Nicholas Cage, and you can see just how F**ED the west can be to developing worlds.
