Gus may be willing to re-sign for a reduced salary. If not, we could look at Tommy Maddox or Brian Griese.

That number is not justifiable for a backup QB. It wouldn't surprise me if they bring him back for less money.

Gus left MIN in hopes of being a starter. Losing the starting job to the guy you were just previously backing up (and being put in the same backup situation by the same player) is, in fact, ironic.
