Title: WR
Post by: BillKilla on March 31, 2006, 01:40:23 pm
I keep seeing mock drafts with up maybe leaning towards a WR if the 1st. What does everyone think of that I think we may need to pick up a Vet in FA. TO would have looked good in Teal and Orange. All the Bills want for Moulds is a forth we gave a 2nd for feely lol

Correction, Spielman and Wanny gave a 2nd for Feeley.

I think it'd be worth it to chase Moulds, but it seems he's headed to Houston.

I also would really like to see them go for a CB in round one.  There's a ton of talent at that position this year, and its our biggest need right now.  We have pretty decent WR's as it is.

I don't see WR as an issue for us.

I think that we have enough potential, and with an upgrade to QB, we'll finally see who's who at WR.

I disagree and think that T.O. wouldn't be a fit here.  ...as a team on the rise, I think that his risk to the chemistry of the team is far too great.

I want them to either draft a CB or OT.  Unless one of the top 3 QBs drops down to #16.  Then we can't pass the QB up either.

But seriously, Saban has earned my trust.  So if he thinks he needs a WR I will believe there was a pressing need there or a talent too good to pass on.

Depending on who is available at 16 I think we absolutely have to look at CB or OL. We do need a receiver, but do not need a first round talent. What we do need is some additional depth.

Chambers & Booker are an incredible duo, but after that we get thin. Welker is a capable player, but I think we can all agree that he plays over his head. After Welker I really don't think we have much talent wise, but I could be wrong. An injury to either starting receiver and it can really put a crimp into the wide open offense all of us (at least myself) are looking forward to.

I think WR can be addressed after the releases June 1.  Either that or a guy like Willie Reid or Devin Hester can be had in the lower rounds.  While it would be great to draft a Chad Jackson or Santonio Holmes, other needs are more pressing at this time.  I think, without a doubt, we need to go OL or DB in round one.

Since the June 01 date is no longer that big of a deal.  Whom is expected to be released that would allow Miami to pick up?

How is it no longer that big of a deal?  First wave of releases come in early march.  Second wave is June 1 unless something changed.

It would be nice to add a first round WR or a guy like Moulds, but it's not a position of need right now. Chambers is a Pro Bowler, Booker is the big play guy and McMichael is a Top 5 tight end.

We need to draft a corner with our first pick or an O-Line guy. This team has holes, but nothing compares to corner in terms of need. Besides, draft another corner and we have two young guys in our backfield for years to come if they succeed. Travis Daniels and whoever.

I think he meant since the salary cap got raised by so much, its less likely there will be a rash of cut players June 1.

Could be, but there should be something out there at that time.

I would like Miami to draft a Defensive Tackle. That being said, the only one projected high enough to ensure value is Ngota, and he'll be long gone by #16.

We do need another receiver. What if Chambers or even Booker gets hurt?  Do you really think Kelly Campbell or Wes are good enough to start? If we can get either Chad Jackson or Sinorice Moss at 16, I would do it.

Since Lavar seems unlikely(because I don't want to get my hopes up), an outside linebacker would be a good first rounder for us. And preferrably, one that can middle as well.  Zach can't play forever.

A cornerback would be fine at that pick...but who? I think it is a reach to take Youbouty or Hill there, however I would jump at the opportunity to snag Jimmy Williams.

Should be interesting.

We already have that. His name is Channing Crowder.

I know..I selfishly want another one. That is why we are looking at Arrington.
