Title: Dreams coming true? Post by: raptorsfan29 on April 09, 2006, 11:17:24 pm This may be my dumbest post but i don't care
I just want to ask you all have you ever had a dream, not able winning the lottery or anything, just a normal dream that some how comes true a year after you had it. I have had a few times where that happened. they weren't very exciting dreams obviously. Title: Re: Dreams coming true? Post by: Thundergod on April 10, 2006, 08:51:59 am Thank God my dreams don't come true. For some unexplained reason they have to do with death of some sort. Now, if one of the other rare dreams where the blonde and brunette show up wearing only bells come true, you'll be the first to know!  ;D ;D
Title: Re: Dreams coming true? Post by: TonyB0D on April 10, 2006, 09:18:25 am i've had dreams come true, or seen signs of things to happen. its really really creepy...this has happend way more than enough times to just be coincidence, but since i dont believe in any supernatural, mental powers, etc, that's all it is...coincidence.
Title: Re: Dreams coming true? Post by: ADeadSmitty on April 10, 2006, 09:59:54 am I haven't had any dreams come true, but I do have very mundane dreams. They make me feel like a boring person. Most people have exciting sex or embarrassment dreams. A lot of my dreams are like, standing in line at the grocery store, or sitting at my desk reading.
Title: Re: Dreams coming true? Post by: Spider-Dan on April 10, 2006, 10:01:52 am I've had this happen many times. However, there is a scientific explanation for it.
Like deja vu, this experience is believed to be caused by an incomplete memory transcribe in your brain. Basically, as you experience events and your brain chemically encodes them into your memory, sometimes it doesn't work right and your brain has to do it again. This produces a feeling of having been there before, or in some cases, a precise memory of doing this exact event. The giveaway on these types of events is... have you ever noticed that when this happens, you can clearly remember the triggering event from your dream, but you can't remember what led up to it or came after? Just something to think about. Title: Re: Dreams coming true? Post by: Brian Fein on April 10, 2006, 11:20:32 am I've had deja vu before in which I was able to predict what was going to happen next. I don't know if that's called deja vu or psychic abilities, but it works every time. Stupid crap like I'll be in the store picking something off the shelf and get the feeling that I've done this before and realize that in my "memory" a lady in a blue dress walked by just then, and sure enough a few seconds later a lady in a blue dress walks by.
its freaky. as for dreams, like at night, I hardly remember them enough to know if they do or not. Title: Re: Dreams coming true? It's just a glitch in the Matrix, Brian.  ;D Title: Re: Dreams coming true? Post by: bsfins on April 10, 2006, 01:33:31 pm Deja Vu - yes
Elle Macpherson,Gabby Reece,Angie Everhart (ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO).... The myriad of women I drool over waking up in my bed ....nope... Title: Re: Dreams coming true? Would you really notice it if you had that feeling and then nobody walked by at all? This is one of the main problems with superstition in general (not calling you superstitious, BTW)... people notice when it's right, but not when it's wrong. Title: Re: Dreams coming true? Post by: GUATARICCAN on April 10, 2006, 09:02:56 pm I've had at least 6 or 7 dreams this past year that there's a zombie epidemic happening! Now it could be that I smoke alot of pot or maybe that I usually see at least one zombie flick a month. But either way I'm buying that god damn gun I'm always trying to find in my dream, cause it's gonna happen! >:D

Would you really notice it if you had that feeling and then nobody walked by at all? you're right, maybe not EVERY TIME, cause when I get that feeling, I try to "remember" what happens next, and alot of times, its right. Sometimes I can't remember what's next or its totally wrong. Not sure...This is one of the main problems with superstition in general (not calling you superstitious, BTW)... people notice when it's right, but not when it's wrong. |
