Title: Movie Review: Unforgiven (1992)
Post by: Dave Gray on April 12, 2006, 01:55:25 am
Unforgiven (1992)

Premise: After his wife's death leaves him caring for two children, a reformed thief and murderer goes back to his old ways.

Rating: Good (*** of *****)

This was a good movie and all, but nothing to write home about.  I don't know why it's so high on the all-time lists, though.  Maybe I'm just not into Westerns.  While I enjoyed it, there didn't seem to be anything about it that stood out to me.

Sorry Dave i had to go for "**" on this one.

Whilst i don't particularly like westerns, the fact that this one fell into the "Classic" category in a lot of peoples opinions was something i disagreed with.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, now thats a Western!

Not being a big fan of Westerns myself, I thought this movie was great. I liked the nice pace of the movie and the characters, Gene Hackman and Clint, were pretty sweet. Good, Bad, and ugly was good too, but fuck do you really have to pan over a desert scene for 3 minutes! And there's no dialouge until like 12 minutes into the movie when Angel Eyes talks to that old man.
