Title: Movie Review: Scary Movie 4
Post by: Frimp on April 17, 2006, 04:56:26 pm
Movies spoofed: War of the Worlds, The Grudge, Saw and Saw II, Brokeback Mountain and The Village.

Celebrity appearences: Shaquille O'neal, Dr. Phil, Charlie Sheen, Bill Pullman, James Earl Jones, Chris Elliot,Carmen Electra, Leslie Neilsen, Molly Shannon.

Premise...Aliens are attacking Earth, and its up to Cindy to save us all. Lord help us!

The special effects in this one are the best they've had so far. The spoofs of these movies were actually done to tie these 6 movie stories together into one story. In the previous movies, they more or less had certain scenes into the story that was based on one movie...for example, SM3 was "Signs" with a few other recreated scenes. SM2 was basically a spoof of "The Haunting" and the first SM was basically the "Scream" movies spoofed.

Its the best one of the series, and "The fourth and final film of the trilogy"

I actually saw the trailer yesterday and thought it looked pretty funny. But it is definitely a rental.

Went to see this in the Cinema there last Friday, in one of those spur of the moment, "theres nothing else on for the next 4 Hours" situations.

Actually wasnt as bad as i had feared! Got a good laugh from it, especially the Tom Cruise interview with Oprah at the end.

I wouldn't queue outside the Cinema for it or anything, but it was okay!
