The fifth incarnation of the popular Nintendo franchise, Zelda: Ocarina of Time is considered by several video game columnists and experts as quite possibly the best video game in the history of gaming.  Never before had Link, Princess Zelda, Gannondorf, and the entire land of Hyrule undergone such an expansion, and such a revitalization.  With its huge 3D world, the ability to fish, the ability to ride a horse, and the very catchy Ocarina melodies, Zelda: Ocarina of Time was immediately welcomed into millions of homes in the USA, Japan, and the rest of the world.

The pinnacle of the “Tekken” fighting game series came in its third installment. While the game doesn’t really do anything completely unique, everything it does, it does well. “Tekken 3” improved on the series by adding a more fluid game engine, which allowed for a variety of game play additions and adjustments. The game was released at the perfect time, at the height of the Playstation’s glory, and sold 5 million copies. It was named “the best fighting game for Playstation” by GameSpot and lives on in the memories of fighting game fans as one of the very best.

I was praying that you would include Ocarina of Time.  To me this should be the overall winner.   It is the only game I have literally daydreamed about.  I almost failed a semester of college after this game sucked up 2 weeks solid of my time.

I have to agree, I think Ocarina of Time will win this whole thing.  In fact, I am currently finishing up a "season" of Ocarina of Time.  I want to find all 100 spiders (without looking it up on the internet).

Do you know what you get if you find all 100?

I've heard the whole storyline changes. 

I agree that Ocarina of Time was the best Zelda game ever.  Could possibly be the best game ever. 

In my opinion Zelda will make it to maybe the top 4, but not sure if it will win.
Oh speaking of Zelda, how many here are pissed that they posted poned the game?
Last I heard was "Fall 2006" and it's officially "The Twilight Princess" I think.

I don't think Zelda can win, though it's definitely good enough.  Some people don't dig on those long, quest-type adventures.  Plus, it was only released on N64...no other systems, so it's reach might be limited.  It's also not a pick-up-and-play type game.  To really understand how druly great the game is, you have to commit a bit of time to it.

I think that it is one of the very best of all time...top 5 probably.

All those Japanese and "off" systems are made by Nintendo.

If someone pirated the game and put it out for another console, that doesn't count.

That is correct.  There actually might've been a 4th one like that created.

Ocarina of Time is the best video game ever.

I literally missed two weeks of class and was fired from a job when that game came out.

     Ocarina Of Time was such a sweet game!  Although I never got fired from my job for it, I did skip some classes just to go back home and play it.  The game was so damn addictive, once you started up, you couldn't stop.
