Title: TDMMC: VGB - Round 2 (Half Life / CS vs. Battlefield 1942) Post by: jtex316 on April 26, 2006, 11:14:31 pm Activision Bracket:
Half Life / Counterstrike (PC) vs. Battlefield 1942 (PC) Two giants of the computer gaming scene battle it out in the round of 32! Half Life disposed of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater in the round of 64, 11-4. However, Battlefield 1942 will need a better performance here to survive, as it just passed by Final Fantasy VII, 9-6. The single-player is supposed to be groundbreaking, and the multiplayer is pretty much what all shooters after it model after.

I think they use the same engine. Maybe. Battlefield feels a lot more like an FPS than Star Wars: Battlefront does. BF1942 was made by EA, and SW:B was made by Lucasarts. They might've used the same engine, and the concept of the games is similar, but for some reason, it doesn't feel the same to me.
