Unfortunately, he was a troubled person, constantly battling drugs & alcohol. Dykstra had a painkiller addiction, as well as drinking. Kruk was a big time drinker. In fact, there are rumors that they used to drink beers in the locker room prior to games in 93. Sometimes they'd never go home- they'd start drinking after a game in the locker room and spend the whole night drinking and just sleep a few hours in the locker room before the next game.
