And been arrested for a DUI!

Thank God they don't let the players drive their Mercedes on the turf at Dolphin Stadium any more... ;)

I like this trade... Simply from an on-field talent perspective, I think Nick got the better player out of the deal. Now...hopefully Courtney can stay out of trouble and out of the trainer's room long enough for some of that talent to pay dividends.

Chalk up another Wanny draft bust gone bye bye.

I was thinking the same thing about Spielman.

I was thinking the same thing about Spielman.

You're right.... but Moore was drafted in '03, when Wanny had control over personnel decisions.  I specifically remember WR Anquan Boldin being out there when Moore was drafted, not to mention OT Wayne Hunter and OG Vince Manuai.  All three have made the Pro Bowl at least once since, while Moore has spent more time in the training room than on the field.

Welcome back, Eddie.  You physical-failing piece of shit.

God,would I hate to be Eddie Moore, and have to walk back into the locker room...you were traded, and now you are back....What a horrible feeling...

Wouldn't you know it?  He failed his physical, and the Saints have sent him marching home.  He's yet another Wanstedt disaster that's never ended.

What? He failed the physical? Are you kidding me?
Maybe the Fins knew he wouldn't pass the physical, the article states that:
The trade was confirmed by the Saints in a release. The Dolphins did not confirm the transaction.
They were probably crossing their fingers that he would pass!

Eddie Moore, what a worthless sack of shit this guy is.  He can't play, can't stay healthy, this definately has to go down as one of the greatest Dolphins draft busts of all time.  I will say this, this definately solidifies Eddie Moore a future spot in the Ring of Dishonor.

He gets a nod from me, but then again I guessed Yatil Green correctly when Dave announced there was an addition coming. Lot's of people disagreed with that vote though so it would be interesting to see what everyone would think if Moore was selected.

Moore shouldn't be added in yet.  It would be a "knee-jerk" decision to add him in right away.

I don't know...

Moore is a 2nd round draft bust.  Nothing more.

In the case of Yatil, not only was he a first round pick, but he was supposed to be the answer to our WR problems.  Moore was another LB, when we already had other guys playing the position well.  With Yatil, we also lost a roster spot, because he hung around for so long, and in the end, we got nothing for him.

At least with Moore, we're able to trade him towards Harrington, if rumors are true.

Bottom line is that it's just too soon to see how he's negatively affected us, but in my gut, I don't think it was all that much.  ...he was simply a poor draft pick.

That's one helluva rumor especially since we just tried to trade him and he failed a physical. I would say that rumor is bunk.

He was a 2nd Rd. pick.  If he is one of Miami greatest draft bust then Miami has been doing some great drafting.  Which they have not been doing.

It was not Moore's fault he was vastly overdrafted.  He said himself he did not expect to get before Rd. 5.

Is it just me, or does it look like Nick is actively seeking to rid himself of all Wanny-Spielman drafted players?

While correct about Boldin  & Moore.  Not sure what you are thinking with the other two.  According to NFL.com Wayne Hunter has never started a game & has only played in two.    Vince Manuwai has started just about every game, but cannot find his name on any PB roster.

Is there that many to get rid of?  Most have gotten rid of themselves.

I still cannot believe Wanny thought Miami needed a backup LB over a WR in '03.  Just think how Miami WR corp would look now.

Also lets not to forget to remember that KC offered Miami Larry Johnson for a that 3rd, but Miami choose to take Lamar Gordan instead.

Wanny and Spielman clearly believed in "best available", rather than drafting for position.  I can't really argue with that fact, though.  If Eddie Moore and Jamar Fletcher had been good players, we'd be in much better shape right now.

It just looks really bad when you draft best available, and you pick an absolute bust.

I would not put Eddie Moore in the Ring of Dishonor for one big reason...... It wasn't his fault he was drafted as high as he was.  He himself said he did not expect to go until the 5th or 6th round.

This, however, pretty much solidifies Wanny's spot in the ROD.

Not all, just the sucky ones. There are a few good ones- namely Chambers and McMichael. It looks like Houck might be able to salvage Wade Smith at center, and he seems to like Carey and Hadnot. It also seems like Saban likes Yeremiah Bell, and I guess the verdict is still out on Will Poole and Derrick Pope. They also re-signed Travis Minor and Seth MCkinney, so I guess that means they liked them. They also were willing to give Tony Pape another shot after he left football, so maybe they see some promise in him.

Not sure what Speilman beleived since we only had one draft with him in charge.  However, as for Wanny.  He believed in defense & running the ball.   That is why JF was Miami's QB for years & why RW walked away rather than be a battering ram for Wanny & not being paid to be one.

Well JF could have left the team by now as a FA had he been good enough to stick around.  Moore is just a simple case of a player draft far higher than he should have been.

speaking of JF - did he sign up with another team after the Jets fired his ass?  Or is his career about done?

I had never heard that.

Of course, at the time Johnson had played just 6 of 16 games and accumulated an astounding 85 career rushing yards and 1 TD.

Actually, they were looking to give up their first rounder in 2005 for Larry Johnson (after Lamar Gordon and Leonard Henry got hurt).  Thank God that trade never went through..... that would've given KC the #2 overall pick.  We would've never gotten Ronnie Brown.

I do not recall that, but there is not a way to research it that I know of.

Had the trade happened, then Miami might not have had the No. 2 pick, but with the way the line was blocking I doubt any QB or RB would have helped.

Pretty sure that is how it went down, but seems another recalls it another way.  I'll just say.  I recall Johnson being available to Miami & they choose to go another route.

Of course, at the time Johnson had played just 6 of 16 games and accumulated an astounding 85 career rushing yards and 1 TD.
True, but that is where you fall back on your scouting & what you thought of the player the prior year when he was coming out of college.

It was just a rumor that intensified over Wanny's last few weeks.  I'm guessing Wayne stepped in and said "No more butchering drafts"

Okay, I'm late to the party.  We could have had Larry fucking Johnson and we offered a THIRD ROUND PICK?  Fuck.  FUCK FUCK FUCK!
