Just heard it on 790 Title: Re: Joey trade to be completed today Post by: fyo on May 12, 2006, 04:45:02 pm The 6th rounder isn't what I understand as "conditional". The deal calls for a 6th rounder which can be escalated to a 5th rounder. There are no provisions for anything less than a 6th, regardless of whatever.

an exhaustive update on who is joey. did you know that on his fourth birthday he got a red toy truck with a small dent on the front left side? Title: Re: Joey trade to be completed today Post by: crazy_scar_man on May 12, 2006, 06:47:21 pm This is a gigantic trade for the Dolphins. Despite Harrington's modest numbers over the last four years, I think he could easily give Culpepper a run for the starting position.
This guy was was a No.3 overall pick not too long ago. The only uncertaintly is his confidence level. Playing four years, including his rookie season, for a team with such a low morale and dismal results on the field, was the worst thing that could have happened to Joey. Experiences like that can easily ruin a career. But hopefully new faces, a new system and a new city are all he needs to live up to the high expectations everyone had for him. The Dolphins quarterback position is locked up for years to come. Culpepper, Harrington, Lemon QB upgrade... CHECK! Title: Re: Joey trade to be completed today Post by: Brian Fein on May 13, 2006, 01:09:48 am Its funny, we go from having three guys that couldn't start on any other squad, to having two guys that COULD start on most other squads.
Thank you, Nick! :) Title: Re: Joey trade to be completed today Post by: Frimp on May 13, 2006, 01:10:40 am QB situation the year before Saban arrived... Title: Re: Joey trade to be completed today Post by: Sunstroke on May 13, 2006, 10:36:59 am You mean Feely? Or Feeley, yeah...thanks. Sometimes I get my completely worthless quarterbacks mixed up. Title: Re: Joey trade to be completed today Post by: BeefStewert on May 13, 2006, 12:54:38 pm Did you guys notice that some news articles (cnnsi, miamidolphins.com) no longer say a 6th round pick? It now says an undisclosed conditional pick. Not that a conditional 5th pick is that bad, but I would love to have gotten Harrington for less.
