Actually, my perfect design would be 2013 logo and uniform, but with new throwback aqua/orange, and 1997 navy in place of the dark aqua lowlights. The logo used on the throwbacks is my most disliked Dolphins logo ever, but the colors on the uniform definitely do pop. I feel like the current uniform situation offers something for everyone. Those who like the classic style get a better version with brighter colors than the pastel uniforms of the '70s and '80s, while those of us who enjoy new things have the new logo and uniforms. Post by: Downunder Dolphan on December 15, 2017, 12:36:09 am The current Dolphins throwback is the 1966 uniform and not 1972 - the main features that distinguish it are the wide stripes on the helmet, and the reverse piping on the pants (aqua-orange-aqua for 1966, orange-aqua-orange for 1972). I thought the helmet logo was a reference to the 1972 team, but it turns out they used both types in 1966:

Great if you were a fan of the three striped adidas clothing which was around at the time, or had OCD. Post by: Downunder Dolphan on January 18, 2018, 01:21:10 am Apart from the colors and logo design, one other reason I would prefer a throwback/pre-1987 style jersey is the stripes on the sleves instead of the dolphin logo.
With the advent of the tailored/cut-off sleves the dolphin logo has shrunk to the point where it's not much bigger than the Nike swoosh: it seems pretty pointless now compared to how prominent it used to be.
