Title: Resolutions
Post by: dolphins4life on January 15, 2018, 01:18:38 am
Did you make any?

I made one, which was not to watch a snap of the NFL playoffs this year.  I have kept it so far.

I've been eating healthy since Jan 8th.  I don't know that I'd call it a resolution.

Better luck next year.

You are attempting to point out a paradox, but if he made a resolution in Dec 2017 not to make any resolutions in 2018 he very well could keep that resolution assuming he hasn't made any since then and doesn't for the next 11.5 months.

"My goal for 2018 is not to set artificial goals for myself.
Hopefully in January 2019, I will be able to celebrate reaching my goal of not setting goals.
But I can only do that if I continue to work hard in 2018 toward achieving my goal of rejecting arbitrary goals."

I am not eating red meat and pork.  Been good on red meat, but you would not believe how much stuff has pork in it.

^^I gave up Beef in 2009,and outside of a handful of times*,been very successful.I tried pork also, failed miserably there aren't any good substitutes for BBQ Ribs,or pork chops. (Sausage and bacon replaced)

*Most of these were someone slipped it in something, and told me afterwards

I bought a house this year, so I'm putting a lot of positive energy into that particular project.  I think that has filled the void, which I why I didn't feel a need for a resolution this year.  I was kinda already doing it.

I don't have any resolutions per se but we are starting back to crossfit. We were going pretty often and being diligent in eating well but then Halloween hit ...  then Thanksgiving and before you know it was Christmas. At any rate I have put on 20lbs since before Halloween and am looking forward to getting back down.

I just fried the shit out of some pork chops last night. The pig is a wonderful animal.
