Title: Re: Shame of the Game - Packers Post by: Dolphster on November 11, 2018, 10:17:24 pm Brock "Regression Toward The Mean" Osweiller. He is who we thought he was. The guy was an unwanted castoff. To think he would be anything other than that here was wishful thinking.

Title: Re: Shame of the Game - Packers Post by: fyo on November 12, 2018, 07:07:17 am Osweiler. Throwing across his body, against the direction of motion. Yeah, what could possibly go wrong. Gets away with it the first time, second time it's a pick. Took a lot of unnecessary sacks. A couple of times he had the deer-in-headlights look.
Osweiler's throwing motion changes completely when he takes a shot downfield. I don't know if that's something he's always done or if it's his decline in arm strength that has made him attempt to compensate. I'd like a healthy Tannehill back, please. We have an "OK//average" starting quarterback who has been oft injured, but for years no QB is drafted, and we predictably end up with Brock behind center.
Brock is no better or worse than we thought he would be. The real shame is poor planning by the Dolphins' "braintrust." Title: Re: Shame of the Game - Packers Post by: Dave Gray on November 13, 2018, 06:13:19 pm Osweiler was bad an gets the Shame.
However, this isn't a backup QB's job -- you can't ask Brock to go out there and cover for 5 games. It's too much. 2 games, maybe. |
