No, Patriots sign good players with off field issues. Not players that are horrible on the field. Even without the arrests, 2.4 yards per game isn’t worth a roster spot. For some college kids, they need to get as far away from their bad friends and bad influences as they can. The other one that confused me was when they signed the Hurricanes QB Rosier. Dude couldn't even keep a starting job at the college level. I'm assuming maybe they sign former Hurricanes as kind of a gentlemen's agreement to support the local college team with recruiting or something. "We have had X Number of our athletes sign with NFL teams, so you should come here to get your best shot at getting in the NFL."
