Miami has won five of its last six season openers.  They have made the playoffs one of those six seasons.

Ross buys tickets for the team to watch whoever the pats are playing. Lets be honest our O-line is still atrocious in fact it may have become worse. They are right D-fenses win games especially when you have Miami's O-line! Sadly Rosen and Preston may become a combo to win enough games for us to continue picking in the middle of draft. Of course that depends on if Rosen is as tough as Tanny was because he will be taking a beating every game.

Key to making the playoffs:

Defeat the San Francisco 49ers in Miami.

The Dolphins have made the playoffs twice since divisions were realigned in 2002.  Guess what happened both times?

Have the 6th best or better record in the AFC.

It has always worked for the Dolphins. 

Neither losing the home opener nor defeating the 49rs in Miami has been a key component of NE making the playoffs. 

The key for NE is winning the division going back 1999 any time they won the division they made the playoffs anytime they did not win the division they missed the playoffs.

Also Miami has split with the Patriots five of the past six years.

Guess which year they made the playoffs.

So your path to victory is conceding weeks 1,2 & 17.  Good luck with that.

BRILLIANT!!! Absolutely f***ing Brilliant!!!  If Miami loses it's opener I'm dropping a grand on them making the playoffs.

Wait until after week 2.  Dolphins need TWO things to make the playoffs per D4L lose opener and swept by NE.  You will get an even better payout if you wait til Fins are 0-2 than 0-1.

Go figure:

The last two times Miami has made the playoffs, they started the season 0-2

During every season in which MIA won the Super Bowl, they lost no more than 2 games.

Therefore, the moment the Dolphins lose their third game, the season is over.

That one actually makes more sense than most of this thread.  While there certainly have been teams that have won the SB despite having more than two loses.  Teams that have had two or less losses almost always win the SB.  I can recall only one exception.

Did you see the part where I listed every team, by year, that failed to win the SB?  There are obviously a LOT more that failed to win, but you're claiming that over 75% did win?

What exactly are you disagreeing with?  If those numbers are what I think they are, that's not how fractions work.  1/1 and 1-1 are not equivalent.

You switched definitions of a two loss team.  The 07Pats lost one game not zero. 

As you stated earlier any year when. Dolphins had two or less losses they won the SB, for that statement to be true the 84Dolphins are a 3 loss team.

I didn't say MIA won the SB every season they had two losses or less, I said they had two losses or less every season they won the SB.  Not the same.

The moment the Dolphins lost their third game in 83 their season was over.

Here's hoping the Dolphins lose next week, because that means the Dolphins are Playoff Bound Baby!!!
