Title: Championship Sunday
Post by: BuccaneerBrad on January 14, 2020, 09:10:30 pm
Tennessee vs Kansas City-  Tennessee found a way to stop the Ravens.   All you had to do was contain the guy with the #8 on his jersey.   They won't be able to do that with KC.   Too many weapons and too much firepower.

Chiefs win convincingly

Green Bay vs San Francisco-  On one hand, you've got a young up and coming QB.    On the other hand, you have one of the elite QBs in the league who is starting to get past his prime but not yet in the twilight of his career.   Green Bay has better receivers.  San Fran has a better stable of running backs.   San Francisco's defense has chopped down opponents all season, but has shown themselves to be vulnerable against elite QBs (see Drew Brees).

This is a fairly tough call, but I think San Fran having the home field advantage tips the scales.   San Fran wins a close one.

Kansas City over Tennessee, 42-24

San Francisco over Green Bay, 38-10

Curious that you bring up Drew Brees as the "elite QB" example instead of the QB that SF is actually playing - Rodgers - who got destroyed by SF when SF's defense was missing several key players.   ;)

I'm hoping for a Packers Titans SB so it will probably be San Fran vs KC.

I swear that I remember when I was a kid the championship games were broken up over the weekend. One on Saturday and one on Sunday. Was it ever this way or am I just making this up in my head?
Chiefs and Packers in the big game. But I’ll be cheering for the Titans.

And that's the whole point.  It's hard to beat a good team twice.  Green Bay can run through that game tape with a fine toothed comb and correct those mistakes.  Not as easy for San Fran.

Looks like I was right on the Chiefs.

Niners are dominating but Coleman just got hurt

Looks like they won't be missing Coleman.  Samuel and Mostert are filling the void nicely.   They'd be best to not let Coleman return.  Keep him shelved for the Super Bowl.

On a side note, Jerry Rice is going apeshit on the sidelines

Niners up 27-0 at the half.  Looks like Stroke was right about the Niners.

Mostert already has 160 yards rushing..... a franchise playoff record

Mostert is killing it.   Every yard he gets is a new record.

Niners up 34-7 late in the third
